OBITUARY FOR CORPORAL FRANK ALLEN TURNER
LANDRUM--Cpl. Frank Allen Turner, youngest son of Mrs. Ben (Alice) Turner and the late Mr. Turner of here, was ldiled in action in Germany (Battle of the Bulge) February 6, according to word received by his mother from the War Department.

Cpl. Turner entered the service (U.S. Army) in May, 1942. He had been serving overseas since last October. At the time he was drafted he was a student at Alabama Polytechnic Institute, Auburn, Alabama.

Surviving Cpl. Turner are his mother; four brothers, Chaplain Boyd Turner, somewhere in the Pacific, Lt. Wallace Turner, in New Guinea, Sgt. James Turner, in France, and Harold Turner of Landnun; one sister Helen Turner of Landrum. Buried at Fairview Baptist Church, Landrum, SC
