Leroy "Barney" Barnette, 97, of Greeneville, passed away Tuesday at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Mr. Barnette was a former longtime owner of several new and used car dealerships.
Survivors include his children: Gerald Barnette, April Barnette Burt, Don Barnette, and Audrey Denise Barnette; his grandchildren: Vevette Gregg Turner, Jason Lee Barnette, Brystal Barnette Mabe, Martha Barnette Gordon, Cindy Barnette Heatherly, Angela Barnette Pike, and Allison Barnette; 10 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his former wife: Victoria Harrison
At Mr. Barnetts's request, his body will be cremated.
The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service, downtown, with a celebration of life service following at 2 p.m. in the chapel.
