Moved from Oak Grove Community in Greenville Co. SC to Tuxedo, NC for a short time in 1943 and then moved back to Oak Grove. In 1945 a move was made to East Flat Rock, NC.

OBITUARY FOR PERRY OSTEEN BARNETT
Funeral service for Perry O. Barnett, 76, who died at the home of his son in Jonesboro, TN, Sunday morning, were held at Gowensville Baptist Church Monday afternoon.

Mr. Barnett was the son of Luther and Mary Jane Fowler Barnett. He was a resident of East Flat Rock for three years. He was born and reared in Greenville County near Gowensville and was a farmer for many years.

Mr. Barnett is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ethel Johnson Barnett; five sons, Broadus of Flat Rock, Herman of Hendersonville, Ervin of Mountain Home, Clarence of Jasper, TN, Leroy of Jonesboro, TN, two daughters, Mrs. Clara Boone of Greer, SC, and Mrs. Mabel Levi of Tuxedo, NC; 19 grandchildren and one great grandchild; three brothers, Henry Barnett of Spartanburg, SC, and Mac and Carl of Landrum, SC; three sisters, Mrs. Sue West, Mrs. Hattie Brown and Mrs. Mttie Henson, all of Landrum, SC.
