GUY F. CORN, SR OBITUARY
Guy F. Corn Sr. of 704 Stoney Mountain Road, Hendersonville, died Tuesday, Septembe 12, 2000, at the Pardee Care Center in Flat Rock.
A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County and was the son of the late Frank M. Corne and Anna Mae Justus Corn. He was the wife of Dorthy B. Corn, who died in 1979. He was retired from Berkley Mills, where he worked for 42 years. He was a member of Balfor United Mehodist Church. He also was preceded in death by a daughter, Mattie Jo Edmundson, who died in 1995.
He is survived by four children and thier spouses: Guy F. Corn Jr. and Eloise Corne of Hendersonville, Betty and James Robinson of Mountain Home, Eddie and Brenda Corn of Hendersonville and Susie and Ralph Sizemore of Hendersonville; one sister, Mae Summey of Spartanburg, SC; 20 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-gradnchildren.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Shepherd Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. The Revs. Greg Corn and Tichard I. Dean will officiate. Burial will be in Sphphered Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Thos. Shepherd & Son Funeral Directors.
