OBITUARY FOR CLYDE ELFORD "HAP" CARRUTH
LANDRUM--Clyde Carnith, 32, died at the Veterans, Hospital in Columbia
Tuesday about 6 p.m. after several months illness.
Mr. Carnith was bom and reared in the Fairview Baptist Church community. He was a son of Mrs. Harriett Carnith and the late Elford Carnith.
Surviving in addition to his mother are: Ws wife, Faye Burgess Carnith; a son Richard ("Ricky") Clyde; three brothers Jim, Leroy, and Sam of Landrum: two sisters Mrs. Fred (Myrtlee) Loftis and Mrs. Holland (Irene) Walker of Landnan.
Mr. Carnith was a World War II veteran (U.S. Army Air Corps). After leam'ng
the service he was employed by Carolina Scenic and Greyhound bus lines.
Funeral servicesvvill be held Miursday at 3 p.m. at Fairview Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Carl West, Hugh Bradey, Harold and Boyd Turner, Ralph Settle, Broadus Barnett, The Young Meds Sunday School class of the church and bus drivers of Carolina Scenic Stages will form an honorary escort.
The Revs. Broadus Belue, Roy Gowan, and Ralph McCasidli will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
