In Bastardly Bond Book for Buncombe County in January1850 Sarah Williams is listed with John Whitaker, James Lyle and David Byers as bondsmen.22 It appears that Dici was born before John and Sarah were married. She is listed as being 10 years old in the Henderson County 1860 Census.
