I was briefly in Donna, Texas, in the winter of 2007—wish I had known.  Today, I’ll drop information about the family reunion into the mail. 
 
I was graduated from Bob Jones University in 1966.  From 1966-1968, I taught ninth grade English in Pinconning, Michigan.  Then I moved to Traverse City, Michigan, where I taught 9-12th grade English from 1968-1996.  I didn’t marry until 1989, so I have no children of my own.  My husband Bob has one child, a son, so I guess I officially have a stepson.  Bob and I enjoy our home, travel as much as we can, indulge our spoiled dog (who is a terrific hunter of birds), attempt golf, and enjoy reading.  Most of all, we like just puttering around and delighting in simple pleasures
 
I’m attempting to keep the genealogic information straight, so I offer the following.  Keep in mind that the information about the Charlotte and William Turner line is all from my mother who lived in Hendersonville from 1922-1940-ish and visited as late as 2006.  During my childhood, we often traveled to Hendersonville, sometimes staying in Aunt Charlotte’s grand, old home.  I don’t remember Uncle William.  It appears that stories vary on who was adopted and reared by the Turners.  Apparently, they took in three children.  New to me—and most interesting.  Sometime, an e was added to Corn, with various stories as to why.
