Marriage Index Book of Henderson County records in Book 1872 that Martha married W.J. Laughter. A living neice Ruth Whitaker says that her Aunt Martha was married to a Rhodes. Maybe she was married twice.

It appears that Martha was married twice yet on her grave stone in Hoopers Creek Baptist Church Cemetery it lists her simply as Marth Whitaker b. 1858 d. 1941.
