OBITUARY FOR DAVID J. HENSON
After one year of declining health, Dave died, at age 77, on April 15, 1963, at St. Luke’s Hospital, while living at Route 2, Landrum. Funeral services were held at Gowansville, conducted by Revs. W. L. Freeman, Fay L. Lanford and E. B. Crain. Pallbearers were Guy Henderson, R. Q. Gosnell, Clinton Brown, Paul Brown, Thomas West and Lespie Barnett. He was buried in Gowansville and Petty had the arrangements. He was survived by his wife (Mattie), two sons (Ralph Lee and Carl D., mentioned below), three sisters (Mrs. Dora Pruitt, Mrs. I. E. Brown and Mrs. James Gosnell), and four grandchildren. 2
